Some spectacular views of the rock town open up along the popular ridge footpath between Hrubá Skála chateau and Valdštejn castle. The most impressive of these are perhaps from the U Lvíčka viewpoint.
This viewpoint was originally situated on a short rocky promontory and the views from it were not as panoramic; it was only after the viewpoint was rebuilt in 1997 and moved to the rocks on the edge that visitors were able to admire those outstanding vistas of the centre of the Hrubá Skála region. The view is framed by the ridge of Kozákov in the background.
