Zirkelstein is the smallest butte (table mountain) in the Czech-Saxon Switzerland but in spite of that it offers one of the most beautiful views of the countryside. Here, hikers can admire spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The top of the mountain is well accessible, the distance from the Schöna/Hřensko train station is only 2 kilometres. At sunrise, it is the Czech Switzerland along with Růžovský Hill (Růžovský vrch) and the Elbe River Canyon that is best photogenic. At sunset, photographers can take beautiful pictures of Lilienstein or Bad Schandau.
