Jetřichovice Rocks / Jetřichovické skály

These are unique rock formations opened up to the public by the noble Kinský family in the mid-19th century. The rocks loom 200 to 250 metres above Jetřichovice, which is a popular resort.

Route:  Jetřichovice – Pohovka – Rudolfův kámen – Vilemínina stěna – Mariina rock – Jetřichovice

Description of route: Follow the blue markers from Jetřichovice past the Church of St. John of Nepomuk. Head through the meadows to Mariina rock and Vilemínina stěna towards the Cat’s Church (a rock). Continue following the blue markers through the wood to the rock niche Chapel of the Last Judgment, also known as Kny Chapel. Then turn right to follow the red route and walk along the slope of the rocky Koliště mountain to the Pohovka crossroads. Keep following the red markers as far as Rudolfův kámen (or Ostroh), from the top of which there is a panoramic view of the surrounding area. From there, go down past the Purkartický les crossroads and visit two other rock viewpoints – Vilemínina stěna and Mariina skála. From there it is just a steepish walk down following the red markers (past the former children's sanatorium) back to Jetřichovice.

Length: 10 km

Duration: 4–5 hours

Difficulty: hard (climb ladders up to viewpoints)
