Table mountains in Saxon Switzerland

Table mountains – Lilienstein, Königstein (with its fortress and stunning view of the Elbe Valley), Pfaffenstein, Papststein, Gohrisch, Kaiserkrone, Zirkelstein, Großer and Kleiner Zschirnstein, Rauenstein. Each of them is a great destination in its own right. If you lack time, you should at least visit Lilienstein, the only table mountain on the right bank of the Elbe, a landmark you cannot miss – it offers amazing views. Pfaffenstein is a jagged platform with a mountain chalet and lookout tower, forming a rock town with the famous Barbarina tower.
