Adršpach Rocks are famous for every climber. This unique grouping of thousands of towers offers an enormous number of ascents that vary greatly in terms of their character and difficulty. Crack and chimney routes still predominate, particularly in the central part of Adršpach Rocks, although there are some beautiful wall routes around the edge. In recent years there have been more and more first ascents of previously unclimbed towers and also on extremely difficult routes in fine walls or smooth edges.
Adršpach Rocks are divided up into sixteen circuits. Stanislav Lukavský’s most recent climbing guide (Publisher JUKO, 1999 and 2000) describes 1,364 towers and massifs. It is likely that nowadays the number of climbs in Adršpach Rocks will be around three thousand.
Adršpach-Teplice Rocks were declared a reserve in 1933, and currently cover an area of 1,803.43 ha. There are strict rules in place not only for tourists, but also for climbers.
